Guardians

At the start of the pandemic, like many people, I was very afraid for myself and my family. I felt the absolute need to create a series of works that would serve as spiritual guardians in hopes that they would protect me and those I love. The pandemic has impacted all of our lives but as a person who is immune compromised and cares for an elderly parent living with multiple underlying health conditions, I have felt very stuck for the past three years. Naturally, everything became compounded after being diagnosed with kidney disease. In the act of creating these works, I have visually manifested spiritual protection and it is my hope that they do the same for those who view them.
